Every once in awhile, I do try to paint (acrylic) or other mediums (alcohol based markers or paint markers). Instead of using flowers or fruit for simple still life paintings, I dug into my vintage Star Wars collection. Simple designs. Simple color palettes.
First I tried an original Kenner Luke Skywalker figure with alcohol based markers. I thought they wouldn't have overlap lines as much as regular markers. I was wrong.
Didn't work out as well as I planned so went back to acrylic paint.

Always wanted to draw this...the front cover design on Def Leppard's "Hysteria" album. Paint makers on black poster board. Unfortunately, the poster board was covered with a plastic layer. Also a part of a future project.
A project seven years in the making. I started this in 2014 and finished the final few covers this October. The Walking Dead Trade Paperback zombie horde project.
